First day of school

Well, I have a first grader!! She climbed on the bus about 40 min ago and should be starting first grade now. :) We had open house last night and met her teacher and toured her room. She was super excited and had a hard time sleepiing last night. This morning was great and she was up and ready early. I went outside with her this morning to take the trash out and walk her across the street to wait for the bus with the neighbor kids. As we walked out the door she closed our automatically locking door behind her........ with my keys and phone and everything still in the house. So after she climbed on the bus (without a moment hesitation) I had to come break into my house. Luckily I remembered the spots we had noticed as less than secure. It was an interesting morning. The neighbor offered to help me once the kids were on the bus, but I managed it on my own. I'll be anxious to hear all her stores when she comes back home and gets off the bus.
I need to get working now. My test is Tuesday and I am most definitely NOT ready. I'll need to study hard the next few days. I also started pulling wallpaper in the dining room, so I need to finish that. We have some friends who are getting married next year. They visited this weekend and are thinking about having their wedding here. I'm excited since that's what I want to do with the house!!! But it means I have to get working!!!!!
Off to work. The school bus comes home about 2:30 so I'm on a timeline now!
