Today was interesting and a bit of a challenge. Had a plumber out to look at a few issues. He had some good news, but trying to work it into the budget is a bit of a challenge. We'll work it out though. Tiffany stained the hallway and the fireplace room today. They look GREAT!!!!!!! She also put the second clear coat on the front rooms. It's all coming together well. I pulled carpet out of the two upstairs rooms but now have to figure out how to get them down the stairs. The carpets have come out in one piece which I thought was great til I faced the obstacle of moving them out.
Godiva ran away twice today. Which sucks, but gave me the opportunity to meet some very nice neighbors. Herrmon lives across the street. He's 90 and his kids and grandkids take care of him. He invited me in and showed me wedding pics, a tour of the house and pictures of all of his kids, grandkids and greatgrandkids. Very sweet man.... Alice lives up the street. She brought us muffins the other day. Very nice older lady. She just got a brand new puppy named Shera. I'm looking forward to having her around, I think she'll be a good neighbor. A few houses up the road is Angie. She has three big dogs and is Godiva's favorite house to visit. She is former navy and pretty young. She has a one year old son, Brody. Angie brought Godiva back one of the times she got out today because she remembered seeing us with her yesterday. I'm really looking forward to the potential friendship there.
Dylan and I went into Keeseville to grocery shop tonight. It's a decent store. A little pricey, but I was getting desperate tonight. Got some milk, OJ, salad, cereal....basic stuff like that. It was nice to have an option for dinner instead of microwave food. I tiwsted my ankle pretty good today. I did it a little last night pulling carpet. I stepped back onto a carpet roll I'd already pulled and twisted my ankle. I didn't think too much of it until today when i stepped in a hole in the yard and totally rolled the same ankle. It's pretty sore tonight. I'm hoping it'll be better tomorrow.
Tiff and I are sitting here on our computers...trying to get stuff done so we can maybe watch a movie. I don't know if we'll manage to stay awake, but it'll be a nice break. (I think Tiffany did more today than I did, but it's still good.) She has to go meet a client in Montreal tomorrow, so we're taking the day off to have a fun day. I'm looking forward to it. One week until Sean, Dad and Melody get here!!!!!!!!!
