A new week has started and I'm trying to approach it with with a new attitude. Last week was pretty rough on a couple fronts. I wasn't feeling well almost all week and Melody's tolerance with being patient was at an end. Those things combined made for some big challenges. I was lacking motivation and then feeling bad cause I went days without accomplishing anything.
So...this week, Melody started the YMCA camp yesterday and I'm back on track. Yesterday I started the hallway. I painted the trim on around the floor (same as in the front room) and today am going to be sanding the doorways and hopefully finishing painting all of those. Then tomorrow (or today if I get really motivated) I will be painting the walls and the accent under the stairs. I'm hoping to be all done with the hallway by tomorrow night! Melody is enjoying camp and having fun. I've taken her the last two days loaded up with her backpack, lunchbox and stuffed animal. (they can bring something personal for movie time and free time) She said that the swimming was fun yesterday but it was a lot longer in the pool than she is used to. She was tired last night and I'm sure will be again tonight. It's a good practice for school though.
Speaking of school, I got her all registered for school last week. She got a tour of the school by the front office secretary (VERY nice lady). As soon as they recieve her records from the old school, they'll assign her to a class and we'll know who her teacher will be. There are three 1st grade teachers. We met one of them while we were there. I think it'll be a good year for her. She seems very excited to start (and of course to ride the bus.)
I switched my cell phone company yesterday as well. Tmobile kept dropping calls and very little service coverage. They are letting me out of my contract because it's not my fault they have no coverage up here. I did some research and decided on AT&T. Yesterday I went and got the new phone and everything changed over. Now I just have to make sure Tmobile holds up their end of the deal and doesn't charge the early termination fees. :( I'm not terribly confident that will all go right the first time.
I took Godiva to the beach this morning after I dropped Melody off. We haven't been in a while, so she had a great time. I'm going to try to make that part of the routine now that things are settling back in a little. Well, I need to go get started on my sanding if I'm going to get it done before I have to pick Melody up....off to work!!
You'll have to post a picture of the beach! I'd love to see what it looks like when you're out for a walk. :)
